Emma Stafford and Clayborn Gooch

58.  Emeline "Emma" Stafford 4 (William1, Robert2 Benjamin2 Emeline "Emma" Stafford was born in about 1864 in Morgan County, Indiana.1  She died a tragic death in 1936 in Centerton, Morgan County, Indiana.2 She and her husband, Clayborn Gooch were killed by an associate over a real estate deal.  For details see the newspaper article describing this sad incident. Emma Stafford and Clayborn Gooch were married in Morgan County, Indiana on 12 September 1880.In 1880, both Emaline Stafford4 and Clayborn Gooch5 were enumerated in Morgan County in their fathers' households. Their households were listed in the same township only 18 households apart.  This couple was enumerated in Centerton in 1900,6 1910,7 19208 and 19309 as expected.  No children were ever listed in their households and the census indicates they did not have any children.
